Weekly Photo Challenge: threes: a three picture story.
In a nutshell, a three-picture story is a way to help you think about storytelling with images. To create a three-picture story, gather:
- An establishing shot: a broad photo of your subject.
- A relationship: two elements interacting with one another.
- A detail: a close-up of one part of your subject.
Here a variation of this small fishing harbour story…

(Soon I’ll be going again to the harbour in Harlingen, in the early, early morning, watching the fisherman coming back from the sea… a wonderfull setting to make photo’s. These are from an excursion in 2009.)
..
You’ve got the eye…. It brings magic in our daily life
Thank you Peter, I definitely got the fish eye (also quite magical)… 🙂
Great shots. Love it!
Thanks Jaap!

great pictures, like them all….
Thank you Ceudah, nice of you to stop by!
nicely done, a great sequence. what a brilliant photostory-telling technique this is. i want to keep that in mind from time to time. although sometimes it is nice to change it up. when i think of your posts, on some of them it would be a shame if you had only posted three images 🙂
You are the second person to make my day:-) Thank you so much for the wonderful compliment! (although in my enthusiasm I sometimes go a bit overboard with the amount of pictures 🙂
Dat vind ik niet erg Noortje! laat ze maar rijkelijk over onze beeldschermen komen!
jij kan van een rol prikkeldraad nog iets moois maken :))
Oké, daar hebben we nummer 3 🙂 🙂
(Dank je!)

Superb set 🙂
Thanks a lot Sreejith (I must admit that I have to look very closely how to spell your name… 🙂 and I’m afraid that pronouncing it isn’t too easy either… but it is really beautiful!)
Yea 🙂 it’s a common name in my native Kerala, but our mother tongue “Malayalam” is quite infamous for it’s complexity to pronounce even by Indian from other states.

Ik hoef er niets meer aan toe te voegen,of…nothing more to say, om in stijl te blijven.
Hoi Noortje, Wat valt er toch veel te zien in ons kleine landje. Dankzij jou zien we alles scherper. Het is iedere keer weer GENIETEN met hoofdletters. Dank je wel. Liefs José
Wat een prachtig compliment José. Dat koester ik!

Absolutely stunning photography in this post and throughout your blog. I come from a fishing port (smaller than this one) in Ireland and you can’t beat a morning out early when the catch is coming in. Looking forward to seeing more …
What a wonderful respons Safia. That makes this Weekly Photo Challenge so worthwhile; interacting with other people, also from other country’s, who share some universal values and passions. I’ll be going to this fishing port again in april, and will definitely share some of my pictures then. Hope to see you here again, you’re most welcome!
